Hey! I'm Jaz :) Here is a quick take of my career

>> What I'm currently doing
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington in Seattle.

>> What I've done
Developed closed-loop deep-brain stimulators (DBS), synced cameras for 3D pose estimation to monitor behavior, used AI to uncover underlying neural patterns, and processed visual neural and retinal data.

>> What motivates me
I believe that having a holistic view of what I'm doing is key to furthering the development of neuropsychiatric therapies.

My motivation for pursuing this field lies in others' experiences. When I talk to friends and family about mood disorders, the topic of antidepressants come up. Its the same conclusion of how it never really works for them. Without getting into too much detail, you can see where I'm going with this. This is why I do what I do. I just want to help my friends and folks going through the same thing.
